Bangladesh: Dhaka Education Board recognizes the IBDP

The Dhaka Education Board has formally recognized the DP under its Rules of Equivalence Certificate 2025, marking a significant step for IB education in Bangladesh. This recognition establishes the DP as equivalent to the national higher secondary qualification, with clearly defined grade-to-GPA conversions.

It confirms that students who achieve the Diploma can use their results to apply to universities in the country. Beyond enabling smoother access to local higher education, this also strengthens the position of IB graduates globally by ensuring their qualifications are better understood and aligned within the national framework.
